When it comes to visa rules, Qatar has recently made the visa processing much easier with an online tourist visa application portal which can be used by nationals of 242 countries. The country also provides visa on arrival to nationals of 70 countries. And, the visa regime is most friendly to kids.
So, if you are a resident of Qatar and coming back to your place of work with your new born baby, your kid will get a visa at the entry border, that too free of charge. You have enough time to bring your kid as visa is issued to babies up to the age of two in this category.
You still need two documents though, original attested birth certificate and valid passport of the baby. You have to take care of your residence permit also. The parents, both father and mother, should have a valid residence permit in Qatar and the wife should be on the sponsorship of husband.
