Doha, Qatar: Ministry of Interior (MoI) personnel arrested 19 people for illegally modifying expiry date of foodstuff.
MoI said in a statement on twitter that “the North Security Department arrested 15 persons from Arab and Asian countries after they repackaged and wrapped expired foodstuffs inside a warehouse in Umm Abiriya.”
A device used to modify the validity dates of foodstuffs was also seized from them.
“The defendants were referred to the competent prosecution to complete the legal procedures followed in this regard,” the ministry added.
