Qatar beat Iraq 1-0 to set up a last-8 clash against South Korea in the Asian Cup

Great Qatar proceeded with their walk in the Asian Cup with a gritty 1-0 win upon Iraq in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday to set up a quarter-final meeting with South Korea.

Bassam al Rawi’s immediate free kick soon after the hour was an uncommon snapshot of value in a rushed experience in Abu Dhabi and was deserving of winning for the 2022 World Cup has.

Qatar will come back to activity, again in the UAE capital, on Friday against two-time champions South Korea, who are pursuing a first title since 1960.

However to yield an objective in the 2019 competition, Qatar have not recently been past the competition’s last eight.

Prior in Dubai, Kim Jin-su’s additional time header took South Korea past an obstinate Bahrain as Paulo Bento’s side fixed a 2-1 win.

The objective, scored in stoppage time of the primary time of additional time, earned Korea a scarcely merited success after Bahrain’s Mohamed al Romaihi had before offset Hwang Hee-chan’s opener to take the diversion past a hour and a half.

Bento’s side will currently confront either Qatar in the keep going eight on Friday as the Koreans try to win the title out of the blue since 1960.
