Doha: Qatar Petroleum (QP) today announced the petrol and diesel prices for December.

QP has retained the prices for super grade petrol and diesel, while premium grade petrol will cost 5 dirhams more.

The price list on QP website showed that premium grade petrol will cost QR1.75 per litre, five dirhams more than November price of QR 1.70.

Super will be available for QR1.90 per litre, the same as in November.

Diesel will cost QR1.85 per litre, the same as last month.

QP had not changed the price for premium grade petrol and diesel in November and October, while price for super grade was increased by 5 dirhams both months.

They had reduced petrol price in September after increasing it in August. July had seen a big drop of 25 dirhams.

When the first list was announced in June 2016 the premium petrol was QR1.20 per litre, super QR1.30 per litre and diesel QR1.40 per litre.

In April 2016, the Ministry of Energy and Industry had started pegging the fuel prices to the international market and from September 2017, it is Qatar Petroleum who is announcing the monthly price list.
