DOHA: Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa) held two workshops at Kahramaa main building for authorised electrical contractors on application requirements and procedures of electricity connection to livestock farms (ezab).

The workshops were attended by a number of electrical contractors who reviewed a detailed presentation about the conditions and procedures of online application of electricity connection to livestock farms by Kahramaa officials from Customer Services and Information Technology Departments. The online application of connection requests starts today via Kahramaa website.

Applications are submitted online where the authorised contractor applies after ensuring all technical requirements are observed and internal wirings are installed as per Kahramaa standards. The contractor can track the request online until feed payment and connection completion.

The workshops aim at educating the authorised contractors on the requirements of online application of electricity connection requests to ezab.

Kahramaa officials answered all contractors’ inquiries about connection and application.

For the electricity connection request to be accepted, the livestock farm should have water connection. Otherwise, both electricity and water connection requests can be submitted.

This service is one of the smart services Kahramaa provides within the continual improvement of services as per the highest standards to increase customer satisfaction.

With the e-services, customers can complete their requests online and at their convenience without visiting any of Kahramaa service centres.

Customers and ezab owners can find authorised electrical contractors list on Kahramaa website km.qa.

Kahramaa has recently announced that it would start receiving applications for electricity connection to ezab as of August 8, in 6 livestock farm complexes including more than 5,000 blocks through different substations costing QR250m.
