Doha:  Minister of Commerce and Industry H E Ali bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari inaugurated global tea brands Lipton and Brooke Bond Red Label factories today.

The assembly line will be managed by the Qatar Industrial Manufacturing Company (QIMC).

Located in the new industrial area, there are two production lines in the factory. The first to package Red Label and Lipton in to 5kg packets that will serve the hospitality companies such as tea shops, cafeterias and restaurants.

The second line will be packing 200gms, 450gms and 950gms for the retail market.

Chief Executive Officer of QIMC Abdul Rahman Al Ansari said, “This is an achievement in a very short period. We have collaborated with Red Label and Lipton for the first two production lines in Qatar. We thank Qatar Development Bank for helping us and giving us this opportunity.”

Khamis Al Mohannadi, Head of the Technical Committee for the Encouragement and Participation of the Private Sector in Economic Development Projects said: “Global brands come and invest in the Qatar market because of the country offers a safe environment for investment.”
